Museum ‘t Kromhout participates in the Sea Port Days Amsterdam 2024

During the Sea Port Days 2024, Museum ‘t Kromhout, together with Amports and Stadsherstel Amsterdam, organizes a variety of activities:

• Museum ‘t Kromhout only open on Saturday June 29 and Sunday June 30.
• Sailing with historical ships, an old tugboat, and an old passenger ferry (formerly from Volendam to Marken), both powered by historical Kromhout engines. Multiple boarding points in the area;
• The old fireboat of Amsterdam, the Jan van der Heyde II (1930), also docks at the museum’s pier, where rides are available;
• On Sunday, June 30th, at 3:00 PM, the English translation of the book “Motorschip Bregetta, sailing through time 1914-2019” will be presented. The author of the book and also the owner will be present. Her ship is moored at the museum. The presentation will be introduced by Midas Dekkers, a well-known writer/biologist and enthusiast of historical ships;
• Maritime walks in the Eastern Islands led by a guide, visiting all maritime historical locations (twice daily);
• Educational activities for children, including a puzzle tour through the museum.

Tickets for the Maritime walks and for the combination of boat trips and museum entry are available online at www.zeehavendagenamsterdam.nl. Tickets for the museum are available on-site. There is a 50% discount on the entrance fee during both days.”
